Visit to KNRM Schiermonnikoog

As a company dedicated to maritime innovation, we strongly value safety at sea. That’s why we have been proud sponsors of the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution (KNRM) for some time now. Last week, a group of 13 Conoship colleagues had the opportunity to visit the KNRM station at Schiermonnikoog for a firsthand experience of their work.

Our visit included a guided tour of their station and rescue vessel, a presentation on their operations, and, most excitingly, a real-life training exercise. The KNRM crew took us on a spin with their rescue boat, where we were able to experience their rapid response capabilities. Some of us even got to practice a water recovery drill, getting back on board under realistic conditions.

The KNRM operates a fleet of specialized rescue vessels along the Dutch coast, relying entirely on donations and sponsorships to continue their life-saving work. Their volunteers are on standby 24/7, ready to assist vessels in distress. Their dedication, professionalism, and maritime expertise are truly inspiring.

We want to thank the KNRM team for their hospitality and, most importantly, for the crucial role they play in maritime safety. Conoship International is proud to support the KNRM and their mission to save lives at sea.
