• Breakbulk green world awards nomination

Conoship nominated for the Breakbulk Green World Awards 2025

Sustainability in shipping is no longer a distant goal, it’s happening right now. We have been nominated for the Breakbulk Europe 2025 Green World Award in recognition of the CIP3600, a design that sets the course for the future.

Leading the way in sustainable short-sea shipping

Our CIP3600 vessel, exemplified by the Amadeus Saffier, represents a new benchmark in green shipping. Designed by Conoship International and built by our trusted partner Holland Shipyards Group, this next-generation general cargo vessel delivers:

  • 20% CO₂ reduction

  • 25% lower fuel consumption

  • Diesel-electric propulsion featuring the advanced D&A Electric® e-prop system

  • Optimized hull design for enhanced energy efficiency

  • Wind-assisted propulsion (optional) for additional fuel savings

With these cutting-edge features, the CIP3600 is currently the most economical vessel in its fleet, proving that environmental responsibility and operational efficiency can go hand-in-hand.

Proven, scalable and future-fuel ready

Holland Shipyards Group has already delivered five CIP vessels, with three more under construction.  A major element for our nomination is the scalability of our CIP-series, making it easy for our clients to scale up, or renew, their fleet at rapid pace for a highly competitive price. Additionally, the market viability of the series if further enhanced by the long-term adaptability of the general cargo vessels. The modular propulsion concept ensures compliance with evolving environmental regulations and extends vessel lifecycle value.

A big thank you to Holland Shipyards Group

Getting nominated for the Breakbulk Green World Awards would not have been possible without the commitment and expertise of our partners at Holland Shipyards Group. Their craftsmanship and forward-thinking approach are helping us bring the future of short-sea shipping to life. We cannot wait to see what the future holds in store for us both!
