Conoship International Completes Inclining Test for Maersk Trieste

Another successful inclining test after 24-meter Bound4Blue suction sail installation

Conoship International was commissioned by Synergy Marine Group, the technical managers of the vessel to conduct the post-retrofit inclining test. As tankers undergo significant weight additions like with the installation of Wind-Assisted Ship Propulsion (WASP), ensuring the vessel’s Lightship Weight and Center of Gravity are perfectly accounted for is crucial for operational safety and regulatory compliance.

While this specific project focused on the final stability verification for the Maersk Trieste, it aligns with Conoship’s broader expertise in integrating WASP technology. Supporting such forward-thinking initiatives is a natural fit for Conoship’s sustainable mindset; we firmly believe that the practical application of wind power is a key factor in creating a more sustainable maritime industry.

Conoship continues to act as an independent engineering partner from early-stage design to final on-site testing, thus helping the industry transition to wind-assisted shipping safely and efficiently.

We are proud to have supported Synergy Marine Group and Maersk Tankers in bringing this high-profile project to a successful conclusion.
