In 2005, Conoship International B.V. designed a new container feeder vessel of 750TUE which was very well received in the market and made use by several companies. The vessels were built by the Solas II-2 regulations and Iceclass E3 regulations. They have three holds and are optimized to carry 45 ft. containers in the hold as well as on deck. They can take up to 120 reefer containers on deck and 70 more in the hold. This high intake of 14 tons and the service speed of 18 knots marks the new breed of container feeder vessels.
