Design Philosophy

In close cooperation with the builder Veka Shipyard in Lemmer, Conoship International carried out the complete naval architecture (general arrangement and stability) for the conversion of a 4,500 dwt general cargo vessel into the Cement Carrier Cembrook for the German owner Brise Group.

This challenging project involved lengthening of the vessel by 15 meters and adding cement carrying equipment. The vessel is now capable of loading cement in two different ways: by means of gravity via a central inlet/air slide and pneumatic loading via a Storz coupling.
